CAPTAIN EDDIE WEINBERG
MARCH 6th 1924 – JULY 2nd 2012
Well known as the owner and Captain of 3 Historic Schooners: Diosa Del Mar, Ranger and the Lady Ada. Known also, as a man’s man…as a ladies man…as a consummate individual…Notoriously “Larger than Life”. But perhaps, best known to His “Wayward Sons” as Pop…as Dad…as the “Man Who Saved My Life”…And MOST respectfully as “MY CAPTAIN”.
August 25, 2012 Captain Eddie Weinberg’s “Wayward Boys” came together as “Accomplished Men” to bring “Their Captain” HOME. It was with their ever-lively…everlasting regalia of Sea Stories…with the respect of An Honor Guard…with the chilling sounds of TAPS and with the hauntingly beautiful
Tunes of the bagpipe that “Their Captain” was delivered HOME to the SEA.
Captain Eddie was buried at Sea along with two of his “Sons”, Tom Skinner and Ron Miller. This moving tribute was delivered by Dennis:
We mourn today, our friends…
Tomorrow we mourn no more…
Each time you think of your friends…
You can look to the Seven Seas… You’ll find them there.
A very moving and Loving Tribute to Captain Eddie Weinberg from His “Weinberg’s
Navy”.
